You&#039;re right about the need to acknowledge accomplishment in self, particularly if you want to move forward. If you don&#039;t see where you&#039;ve succeeded now, there&#039;s little hope you recognize it when you accomplish something big.  And nothing big ever happened all by itself.  Big things are made by little steps. 

Congrats on not only taking the steps to put yourself out there, but in recognizing how much an accomplishment it really is!

When I get done with a project I do what I call a &quot;post-mortem&quot; - a diagnosis of what went right and what went wrong.  It&#039;s important to know both.  Don&#039;t be too hard on the stuff that went wrong; they&#039;re in the past.  Work on not doing those things again and then move on.
